Mozaika coordinates a use case on Social Sciences within the COST Action NexusLinguarum. This use case revolves around identifying clusters of social attitudes within survey data. Two STSMs took place in August at Mozaika with guest scientist from Lithuania and from North Macedonia. The one was dedicated to linguistic analysis, the other one dedicated to deep learning approaches to natural language processing. We study the occurences of discourse markers in text, their communicaitonal role and explore Ai methods to predict the occurrence and the semantics of discourse markers in texts. So far we have collaborated with researchers from Protugal, Germany, Israel, Lithuania and North Macedonia on this topic and their respective organizations, and expect the international collaboration to grow.
