On October 19th 2021 Dr. Mariana Damova, the CEO at Mozaika, participated in the Global Best Practice Programme segment of Expo 2020 Dubai during the Space week. The segment was dedicated to the topic Space Technologies for Development. The Best Area event that Dr. Damova featured was a presentation entitled “Earth Observation and AI Solving Societal Challenges” and explored how the wealth of Earth observation data enables critical decision-making through AI synergy. A world audience could hear about the important topic of earth observation and handling disasters in the context of climate change. The Best Practices Area where the event took place has been located in the Opportunity Pavillion next to the UN Hub. Among the invited guests were: Paul Boots, Head of Business Development Dubai Global Connect, Adil Abdelwahab Dubai Office Head, Polish Investment & Trade Agency; Louis-Philippe Duhaime Trade Commissioner Global Affairs Canada – Expo Dubai 2020 – Canada Pavilion; Pia Pacheco Sustainability Analyst Orizon S.A; and others.
