“Information Systems for Water Resources Management” was Dr. Mariana Damova’s presentation at the First Stakeholders’ meeting of United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) Space4Water initiative (https://www.space4water.org/), held on October 27-28 2022 in Vienna, where participants from 20 countries were present, and aspects on how to foster collaboration in the application of space technologies for water resources management were discussed.
The Space4Water initiative’s vision is to enable all stakeholders involved in the space and water communities to access data and knowledge, to be creative and to realize their full potential in contributing to a world in which the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all has become a reality.
