On June 5th 2025 the second webinar from a series, dedicated to earth observation, AI and water resources management was held with success. The event was hosted by IAWD, and was organized with Mozaika PECS ESA project ISMoSeDe Deploy. This time we discussed the impacts of hazardous events on different parts of the society and more precisely how municipalities, navigable rivers and the utility sector see floods and take measures to mitigate their detrimental effects. In this discussion we brought technology and presented ISME-HYDRO showcasing how its functionalities can help all these stakeholders address the problems they have been facing against floods and climate change. The contributors to the discussion were representatives from Standing Conference, a member of MALAS, who presented an initiative of cooperating municipalities to address flood challenges, from the Executive Agency for Monitoring and Exploration of the Danube River, who discussed the securing of the safe fairway and the importance of availability of forecasts for the river dynamics, from Wadata, who discussed the impacts of flood in the utility sector and the opportunities to tackle the problems they are causing, finally from Mozaika, who presented ISME-HYDRO, the underlying technology and the use cases related to water resources management for monitoring dams and rivers, fairway trajectory prediction and flood forecasting, simulation and damage estimation.
The webinar had 102 registered international participants, and received positive feedback.
Stay tuned for upcoming next editions and developments around ISME-HYDRO.
