The Water Market Europe event, held on April 15 2026 in Brussels, has been organized by Water Europe and projects, funded by the European Commission. This event managed to encompass a wide range of topics around challenges in the water sector in Europe and pathways to solve them, including funding, project development support, partnering. The participants were exposed to a range of solutions geared towards different aspects of water usage, management and preservation, and learned about open use cases in need of solutions.
Overall, the water challenges that have to be addressed were best summarized as follows: Water is too little, too much, too dirty or the infrastructure is too old. The good news is that there are plenty of financial instruments and technological solutions that are in the making to help in foreseeable future, e.g. by 2030.
ISME-HYDRO was presented during the solution providers pitching session and harvested deserved interest.
